According to reviews, Wicked has captivated yet another audience.  Michael Maupin enthusiatically details his experience and explains in his Louisville Wicked review that the theatre was jam packed upon opening, and ended with a standing ovation.

One doesn’t need to be a fanatic of The Wizard of Oz or have a large amount of information on the Story of Wicked to enjoy and understand the performances.

In fact, Maupin writes:

“Being a person who never really enjoyed The Wizard of Oz, nor knew much about the plot of Wicked, I was amazed at the robust storyline that incorporated many of the elements that fans of the Oz movie will appreciate. However, prior knowledge of how to navigate the yellow brick road isn’t necessary. Wicked is a new story all its own.”

Wicked will be playing in Louisville’s Whitney Hall from now until February 1,  2009.  WickedTicket has tickets to every single Louisville performance- even the sold-out ones.
