Starting January 16, 2009, Nicole Parker will replace Marcie Dodd as Elphaba in the New York production of Wicked at Gershwin Theater. Parker was previously a cast member of MadTV and has also appeared in Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me on Broadway.

Other cast members of the Broadway production include Alli Mauzy (Glinda), Jane Houdyshell (Madame Morrible) and PJ Benjamin (The Wizard).
