A few cast members for the San Francisco production of Wicked have been announced.  They are Teal Wicks and Kendra Kassebaum, who will play, respectively, Elphaba (the green Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North).

Thrilled to be back in her home state and making her Wicked debut, Teal Wicks’ expertise stems from her experiences performing in Pippin, Turandot: Rumble for the Ring, and Stairway to Paradise. Also, the gorgeous Ms. Teal is a Drama Graduate of UC Irvine.

Kassebaum’s credibility stems from the South West Missouri State University, where she received her B.F.A. in Performing Arts. Also she has performed in Rent (initially as Mark’s mother, then as Maureen Johnson), Assassins, Grease, and A Chorus Line.

Wicks and Kassebaum will be joined onstage by Carol Kane as Madame Morrible and David Garrison as The Wizard.

The Wicked tour will run in San Francisco  is so far scheduled from January 27, 2009 until June 27, 2009. This is an open-ended run, so it may continue after June.
